Once upon a time, there was a handsome but selfish young Prince who fell foul of a sorceress and was doomed to spend the next 500 years hidden in his Castle in the guise of a grotesque beast.

 

This magical all family enchanting tale tells the story of Beauty (Nicola Alexis from TV’s The Bill), the sweet daughter of The Mayor of Merryvale. She longs for romance and adventure but little does she realise these things will come only when she becomes a prisoner of the monstrous Beast.

 

The Beast, who is  really a Prince (Lee Bright - Chesham's very own star!) must learn to love and to be loved, only then will he regain his true form and live – yes, you’ve guessed it, happily ever after!

 

Along the way we meet Nurse Jackie 'O La La' (Colin Ridgewell from TV’s Grange Hill), Silly Billy (John Voce), the beautiful Spirit of the Rose (Alexis Caley) and the evil Carabosse (Linda Clark).

 

Will our heroine find true love? Will good overcome evil?
